New Richmond information:

The city of New Richmond, founded in 1857, is currently home to approximately 8,000 residents and is located in the scenic St. Croix valley area. Known as "The City Beautiful", New Richmond is approximately 40 miles east of the St. Paul/ Minneapolis Metro Area. As a growing community there are many attributes that make New Richmond a choice to many as a place to work, play, entertain or simply call home.

New Richmond offers a wonderful place of business, large and small, to thrive. It may be a small town but it offers many big city amenities. There are many shops and specialty stores, bars and restaurants as well as professional services in the downtown area.

New Richmond has many beautiful parks and walking paths throughout the city as well as an array of youth and adult athletic clubs and organizations, including a city-owned recreational center. New Richmond also offers 3 gold courses including one of the premier 27-hole golf courses in the state. Don't miss the many annual events in this town like the St. Patrick's day parade in March, the Park Art Fair in June, the Fun Fest and Parade in July, and Heritage Days in September, just to name a few.

Rich farm land and timber drew pioneers to New Richmond and was the foundation for what makes the "city beautiful" a thriving community today. The same land draws people to the area today but it is the community, small town atmosphere and cherished quality of life that keeps them here and the reason why New Richmond is currently experiencing unprecedented growth.
